Cayman divides Braking into three separate regions:
- Light applications as performed by a customer to slightly reduce their vehicle speed.
- Normal applications as a customer would perform to bring their vehicle to a stop.
- Maximum Braking to bring their vehicle to a stop as quickly as possible.
The vehicle's braking performance in the above categories requires evaluation on all types of surfaces: dry, wet and low friciton snow/ice surfaces. A small sample of the subjective and objective criteria used to evaluate the vehicle includes:
- Amount/linearity of travel
- Amount/linearity of pedal force
- Amount/linearity of deceleration rate
- Ease of pedal modulation
- Vehicle body control throughout the events
Cayman experts will ensure your vehicle meets its targets for Braking while seamlessly integrating the other vehicle dynamics attributes.
